New opportunities for IoT in Poland through 5G and optical fiber

Among sectors that will increasingly benefit from the development of optical fiber and technology 5G, we count of course the Internet of Things (IoT) and all the connected machines that are surrounding us. Here are two Polish start-ups that rely on high-speed, secure and stable connectivity to offer new products and services:

  • Cthings.co offers its customers the ability to process an unprecedented amount of data from connected machines and tools (IoT) present in a factory or logistics center. It also creates a digital twin of the technology park to analyze and improve productivity (see podcast with Cthings.co CEO to learn more). The start-up secured several private investments this year (PLN 3 million in total) and continues to develop partnerships on the European market.
  • Scramjet is a young start-up that uses the processing power of 5G to facilitate access to serverless technologies. The Polish team has developed an open source platform that should overcome the current limits of IT infrastructure services (IaaS). The expected benefits are related to the scalability and interoperability of the serverless platform.
