This week marked the 10th anniversary of La French Tech, a pivotal initiative dedicated to supporting the growth and structuring of the French start-up ecosystem, both in France and internationally. Launched a decade ago, La French Tech has become a major force in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.
Key highlights of La French Tech include:
- 16 Capitals and Communities across France
- 67 Communities in 52 countries, including Krakow and Warsaw
- 1,400 volunteers,
- 6,000 start-ups within the network, including 25 unicorns
- €13.5 billion raised in funds in 2022
- A gender equality plan in Tech signed by 200 members
- Station F, the world’s largest start-up campus, opened in Paris in 2017
- The French Tech Visa available to all start-up members seeking to reside in France
- The French Tech Next 40/120 Program supporting 120 high-potential start-ups and scale-ups
- The French Tech Community Fund financing prominent events and initiatives
- France 2030, an investment plan supporting 125 emerging players
The anniversary celebration at the Ministry of Economy and Finance in Bercy gathered the French Tech ecosystem, past and present ministers, directors of the French Tech Mission, and dedicated partners. Adam Szmatula represented La French Tech Krakow and had the honor of engaging with key figures such as Jean-Noël Barrot (Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Telecommunications), Clara Chappaz (Director of the French Tech Mission), Xavier Niel (Founder of iliad and Station F), and Mounir Mahjoubi Jozefowicz (Former Secretary of State for Digital Affairs).
